The ultimate payback

My kids LOVE candy, cake, soda, chips--all the things we do not keep stocked here.  Oh but never fear, rugrats. Your grandparents are all stocked up and will begin shoving that crap down your gullet through a funnel the instant we hit their threshold.

Oh and what's worse is the kids know they will get the goodies with or without good behavior because everyone knows about grandfolks and their whole "getting back at the kids for being effers" agenda. Let's just say I'm paying dearly for this one, because my husband was a wild kid.  He says he was good, but I've seen pictures. And I'm pretty sure a 2 year old pantsless Andy running wildly through the house, mouth agape in a shriek, Mac'n'Cheese box in one hand, giant wooden spoon in another, is indicative of a real laid back kid.

The lesson here: Choose your spouse wisely. If you plan to have kids, just know that your in-laws will make you suffer for your spouse's childhood transgressions via getting your kids all jacked up on complex sugars and immediately sending them back home with you. At 8pm on a Sunday night.

Happy freakin Mother's Day to me.
